Finnish political figures offered their condolences on social media after three people were killed in a shooting at a shopping mall in Copenhagen, Denmark on Sunday night.
"Deeply shocked and saddened by the news from Copenhagen tonight. My deepest condolences to everyone touched by this terrible crime," President Sauli Niinistö wrote on Twitter in English on Sunday.
Prime Minister Sanna Marin (SDP) likewise tweeted her condolences for the shooting, which she called a "shocking act of violence".
Foreign minister Pekka Haavisto (Green) also expressed his condolences over the shooting on the Foreign Ministry's Twitter account.
"Our thoughts are with the victims and their families," the tweet read in English.
