New Head for Nokia’s MeeGo Unit

Mobile communications giant Nokia has appointed Sebastian Nyström as the new head of the development team of the MeeGo operating system.

Head of MeeGo Marketing at Nokia Peter Schneider said in his blog that Nyström will be responsible for the first MeeGo-based smart phone to be launched later this year.

Nyström replaces Alberto Torres as Head of MeeGo Computers. The news of Torres’s departure came during Nokia’s announcement of new company strategy on February 11.
