Finavia Launches Consultative Talks

Finland’s civil aviation administration Finavia has began consultative talks that concern 500 workers. Employees in air navigation services are particularly affected.

The move comes after Thursday’s decision by the Ministry of Transport and Communications to shift the aviation weather service observation system to the Finnish Meteorological Institute during 2011.

The change will affect the tasks of workers in air navigation services, but employees in other departments might also feel its impact.

Finavia employs altogether 1,800 people.
