Six cars crashed in a chain collision in the town of Nokia, central Finland, injuring nine people. The accident occurred just before 5pm on Friday on highway 12.

The duty fire officer said that the injuries were for the most part minor. However, he added that two of the injured were taken in for treatment.
Among the injured were two children, but neither of them required hospital care.
A major traffic jam followed the crash, in turn causing a second accident which involved a passenger car and a van.
