Urpilainen satisfied with Greek confidence vote

Finland’s Finance Minister, Jutta Urpilainen, says she is satisfied with the confidence vote Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou won on Friday, and with his plan to try and form a coalition government.

She emphasised, however, that this is only the first step and that more action is required before Greece receives the next tranche of bailout loan.

”It’s good that the government won the confidence vote,” said Urpilainen in Helsinki on Saturday. ”It is also positive that the prime minister has announced he will try to form a broader-based government.”

Urpilainen also says that more information is needed before Greece receives the next installment of its bailout. The finance minister said that as things stand now, with the current information available, it would not be paid.
