The Finnish Film Foundation adds that audience numbers in 2010 were more than double compared to last year.

Films by directors Mari Rantasila, Arto Halonen and Dome Karukoski have had the strongest pull. Before the year's end, two more Finnish movies are to premiere: Jalmari Helander's "Rare Exports" and Lauri Nurkse's "Veijarit".

A total of 23 Finnish films were shown in cinemas this year. So far this year, about 6.8 million viewers have taken in movies in Finland.
