Internet Most Important News Source for Finnish Youth

Finnish young people continue to be avid consumers of new news media. The Internet remains the most important source of news for young Finns, according to the National Youth Study to be published on Wednesday.

The annual survey shows that young people would like more analysis and background information from other media outlets.

Finns aged 15 to 25 were found to spend more than 20 minutes a day on average on surfing the Internet.

Young people watch television news an average 17 minutes a day. They spend an average ten minutes a day listening to radio news or reading newspapers.
