Several Shops Punished for Selling Alcohol to Minors

Several shops in the western cities of Seinäjoki and Nurmo have been temporarily banned from selling alcohol.

Alcohol inspectors found that these grocery stores sold alcohol to minors.

They slapped week-long sales bans on Siwa and Prisma in Nurmo, and on a Citymarket, ABC, and Lidl franchise in Seinäjoki.

Provincial inspectors were tipped off by an article in the newspaper Ilkka, which tested how easily youth could obtain alcohol from various stores.
