Although some food prices have increased more than dairy products, it's such a major staple that the 20 percent price increase has had the biggest effect on the overall average cost of food.
Milk has become as much as 25 percent more expensive, while ice cream and cheese are also showing increases of over a fifth.
The biggest price hike has been seen in flour, which is now fifty percent more expensive than it was last summer. This hasn't been entirely reflected in the price of bread, which has increased by less than eight percent.
Meat products are an average seven percent more expensive, but beef prices have increased by more than 20 percent.
