The poll was carried out by showing over 1000 Finns photographs of 30 different landscape scenes from Finland. Each subject chose the landscape he or she found most appealing.
The winner was a winter landscape of Oulankajoki River in Kuusamo. Second place was taken by an autumn lake scene from Heinävesi.
Inland landscapes were found to have more appeal than seascapes. Urban and rural scenes did not have the same appeal as forests and lakes.
