Summer returns for a week

Most of Finland will enjoy balmy weather in the coming days, predicts Yle meteorologist Kerttu Kotakorpi. Rain is only expected on Sunday.

A high-pressure front over Finland will continue to bring dry weather and pleasant temperatures, according to Kotakorpi.

Daytime highs will rise just above 20 degrees Celsius in much of the country. Wednesday is to be the warmest day of the week, with the mercury climbing to the 23-degree mark.

Northern Finland, in particular, will bask in warmer-than-average weather.

“But the possibility of rain showers still remains, especially over the weekend,” Kotakorpi warns. “And Sunday looks rainy.”
