The south and centre of the country will see temperatures drop below freezing point in some places on Sunday night, bringing frost to the coldest areas by Monday morning.
In the north of the country, the temperature could dip several degrees below zero.
Saturday night was also cool, with frost hitting several parts of the country. The coldest temperature of -6.6 degrees Celsius was recorded at ground level in Sodankylä, Lapland.
Finland is set for a slightly warmer start to the week, with temperatures hitting 20 degrees on Tuesday in the south. Even in the north, the mercury will nudge past ten degrees for a time.
Next week’s night time temperatures are forecast to be above freezing.
