The latest data released by Statistics Finland indicate that falling prices for liquid fuels and vegetables slowed the increase in consumer prices in November, compared to October. Declining interest rates from the previous year also restrained inflation.
However the year-on-year rise in prices was pushed up by the higher cost of food, transport, alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
Food prices rose because of more expensive meat, dairy, confectionery and ice cream products. Bigger tabs at restaurants and cafés also played a part in rising consumer prices.
Meanwhile increases in the vehicle tax and fuel prices elevated transportation, according to Statistics Finland.
