The driver was clocked driving at an average speed of 168 kilometres per hour in a 100 kph zone in Sodankylä on Saturday.
The Estonian was found to be carrying 650 bottles of Estonian vodka in his car.
The police blotter states drily that law enforcement officials suspect that the cargo was not merely for his own use. The motorist faces charges of smuggling, alcohol law violations and endangering traffic.
