Having a mortgage of at least 200,000 euros is becoming more common in Finland, according to Statistics Finland.
This an increase of almost 9,000 euros per person from the previous statistics gathered in 2011.
One third of mortgages are at least 100,000 euros with larger mortgage debts being the most common among 25 to 44 year olds in the Uusimaa region. Overall, the average amount of housing debt last year was about 92,000 euros.
