Teenager seriously injured by electrical shock in Siilinjärvi
A seriously injured teen boy is being treated at Kuopio University Hospital after he climbed the roof of a train in Siilinjärvi’s railway yard. He had caused an arc in the rail network’s electrical wiring.

The 14-year-old boy fell between the tracks from the three-metre-high train after receiving an electrical shock.
The boy's friends called emergency services for help.
The electrical wiring conducts a high voltage of around 25,000 volts. A dangerous arc can take place even when wires are not physically touching.
