The Finnish capital retained a spot in the top ten of the most liveable cities list, receiving a total of 96 points out of a hundred to land eighth spot.

The ranking takes account of security, health and cultural services, the environment, education and infrastructure. The Australian city of Melbourne came first in the list, with Austrian capital Vienna in second and Vancouver, on the west coast of Canada, in third.

Seven of the top ten cities were located in Canada or Australia.
