Marimekko has ended its long-standing cooperation with designer Kristina Isola.
In May, it was revealed that Isola had copied her "Forest Dwellers" print directly from a work by Ukrainian artist Maria Primatshenko.
Following further copying allegations against other Marimekko designers, CEO Mika Ihamuotila announced today that the company will no longer work with Isola.
Her mother, Maija Isola, was one of the best-known designers of Marimekko's early decades. Her Unikko ("Poppy") is perhaps the company's best-known design.
