Yle and the broadcast network company Digita have agreed a deal to make Yle’s HD content available via antennae. That means that TV1 HD, TV2 HD and Yle Fem HD will be available to viewers located in around 85 percent of Finnish territory via Digita’s UHF antennae.

"We’re satisfied with the solution," said Yle’s head of broadcasting, Ismo Silvo. "Our channels are now available on UHF frequencies as well, and antenna customers now have the opportunity to watch three Yle channels in HD."

All Yle TV channels are available in HD via the cable and IPTV-operators’ networks. TV1 and TV2 HD are also available via satellite to Canal Digital and VHF antenna customers.
