A group of at least three people robbed a DNA electronics store in Lahti in the early hours of Saturday. The perpetrators got away with merchandise valued at around 100,000 euros.
Police say the robbery took a few hours, and that the thieves left the scene of the crime a little before 4 am, when they proceeded to drag large, heavy cases through the department store parking lot towards the city centre. The parking lot can be seen from Lahti’s Uudenmaankatu, which had heavy traffic following the time of the robbery.
Police say it is likely that the robbers were in possession of a car.
Lahti police say they ask anyone who thinks they saw three people dressed in dark clothing dragging large bags across a parking lot to call the number 029-5414222. Sightings of a car parked in an unusual place are also requested.
