Fall wars: Return of the sunshine

The elusive summer weather that finally graced Finland last month for a little while looks like it is about to return.

Yle meteorologists say that a high pressure system on its way later this week will bring sunny skies and temperatures above 20 degrees. They say the warm weather is likely to continue into next week, as well.

Due to the longer nights and warm days, foggy conditions are also likely to be on the way.

If such a weather system passed over the country in the middle of summer, meteorologists say, it would lead to a full-fledged heat wave.

The weather will be unstable in the beginning of the week, however.
