Finnish games firm Rovio made profits of 5.7 million euros in the year to June on a turnover of 76.4 million euros. The results indicate a return to profit after hefty losses last year.
The firm had invested heavily in the Angry Birds movie, which premiered in May and received glowing reviews. The firm says that the cashflow from that film—which did well at the box office—is not yet visible in its results.
The company has in recent years cut hundreds of jobs as profits fell when the Angry Birds mobile game lost popularity.
