Wednesday and even Thursday will feature sunny skies and abnormally mild temperatures, but on Friday Finland will descend into more seasonally-appropriate and decidedly cooler autumnal weather.
Friday's forecast currently calls for cloudy skies across the country and cooler temperatures hovering around 10 degrees Celsius in much of the country, but it should be a little sunnier over the weekend.
The biggest differences in temperatures will be felt in the south, where it's been relatively mild (around 20 degrees) and sunny in recent weeks.
In the south, the mercury likely won't make it past the 15 degree mark towards the end of the week.
"Thermal autumn," the meteorological term for the point at which average daily temperatures drop below 10 degrees, has not yet occurred in most of Finland. Lapland in the far north already passed the thermal autumn point in August.
