Police are looking for clues in the search for an Indian man working in Helsinki who has not been seen for more than ten days. 26-year-old Hari Sudhan Thaneeru was last seen on Fredrikinkatu in central Helsinki at around 17:40 on 8 September, walking towards his home on Kalevankatu.
His phone was subsequently located by a phone mast in Hernesaari at around 18:45. Police say they do not at this stage suspect Thaneeru has been the victim of a crime.
According to newspaper The Times of India, Thaneeru has been employed as a software engineer at the Finnish offices of Tata Consultancy Services since 2013. The publication writes that the missing man last made contact with his mother in Chennai, India on Friday, September 8, but didn't return to work on Monday, September 11.
Thaneeru is around 180 centimetres tall, of slender build with black hair, brown eyes and wearing glasses. When he disappeared he was wearing a blue jacket, dark trousers and dark Nike shoes.
