The subreddit r/explainlikeimscared is a surprisingly good resource for this. People are always very kind and thorough from what I’ve seen, and I spend a decent amount of time there giving walkthroughs and answering questions when I know the process.

every once in a while i’ll think abt the when i was like 10 i was in the car w my dad and grandpa and i was discussing with them what i want my future dog’s name to be. from my knowledge of being 10 i was very much aware that dogs loved bones and i thought that it would be nice to name my dog after an object of it’s affection so i informed my family that i should name my future dog boner.
fucking hate suburban lawns with just perfectly cut grass and no wildlife diversity other than a goddamn house fly. “my lawn looks fantastic!!!” no doug, m@te, your lawn looks like if you put the grinch on a george foreman grill. you fear the chaotically prosperous potential of both earth and man, and destroy chances even before they even present themselves. be brave and let god live in your front yard
love is a beautiful thing and although it can be painful I would encourage everyone to do it and do it often without the hesitation of “what if I get hurt?” you will get hurt but why is that so frightening? have you no trust in your own ability to be hurt and get over it? how silly when your whole life is a testament to your resilience
