Circa 1900/1930 Japan for fashion in Europe Exceptional evening coat or Kimono in embroidered silk crepe made in Japan for Fashion in Europe between 1900 and 1930 corresponding to the vogue of Japonism. Mandarin style cut from the Chinese Qing dynasty with its bell buttons in chiseled brass. Coat entirely lined with cotton wadding, covered with sky-blue silk crepe embroidered with huge bumpy chrysanthemums in a shades of turquoise, sky-blue, gray and white. Lining in sky blue silk pongee.
