Gwen Hefner, The Makerista on Instagram: "Let’s bring back - CURIO CABINETS! I love to collect, but I’m not a huge fan of clutter…or dusting! Glass cabinets allow me to enjoy my treasures without having to maintain them or feel as visually stimulated. It’s easy to think of the Precious Moments stuffed ones of the 90s, but natural curiosities, a collection of busts, even vintage trophies - everything looks more special and contained behind glass. This one has shells we’ve collected from different beaches, bugs we’ve found or friends have given us, and other found objects - like antlers and shell boxes I pulled out of a barn in France. I look forward to adding more things from our land over the years too.
