First full day in Japan! Started with the bullet train from Fukuoka to Hiroshima followed by what I intended on being a short walk around the city… The Shukkeien Garden was originally built in 1620 for the Asano Samurai Clan and served as a refuge for people injured in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. The majority of the garden was destroyed, save for a few trees and the stone bridge but was rebuilt is now a tranquil oasis in the city. After that was a walk to Hiroshima Castle. Again des...
