How to Mend a Hole With a Needle Felted Heart Patch - Woodlark Blog

Mending clothing is one of my favorite sustainable practices and I love using wool to do so. This project works best with natural fibers or knit items but I've had great success mending other types of heavier weight fibers that do not have stretch, such as thicker cotton or denim. I don't actually use this technique very often, and I'm a bit hesitant to recommend it since there are quite a few factors to consider (not least that it's an irreversible process, unlike most of the methods I use). BUT - for the right project, it's definitely a very useful technique! Use matching wool for discreet mending, or contrast colours for visible mends.
