Rescued or clearance plants are easy to come by at your local big box stores, nursery, and sometimes from neighbors. I don’t typically repot my plants when I first get them if they’re healthy but all my rescues, I do check the roots. They tell me a story about what’s going on. Luckily, all this baby needed was a lot of water and a good clean up. For my favorite self watering pots, comment the words “stay damp” and a link will be sent to your DM’s through automation! Peace lilies can struggle to bring us peace sometimes but they do love a good chunky well draining mix and not to dry out completely or they start to droop. Little things like this feel extra special with my kids and I plus it makes for an easy teacher gift! I added “Surviving Third Grade” by “teachers name” and thought that was clever lol. Well add a gift card to the side and gifted it on the first day of school!
