All.About.Physiotherapy(AAPT) on Instagram: "I ruptured my Achilles exactly 6 months ago.

At that point I was the strongest that I’ve ever been. I had just started a new Weightlifting cycle & easily PR’d both the clean & jerk & the snatch on test day just 1 week prior.

I was so excited to see what I was truly capable of on the platform this year.

😱 But, life had other plans for me.

This injury is devastating, painful & both mentally + physically exhausting…not to mention, the recovery is long (9-12+ months usually) & progress is painfully slow.

But it’s taught me a lot about myself, the importance of listening to my body, how to ask for help & it’s really opened my eyes to the mental side of injuries. It’s also given me a new perspective & appreciation for anyone that has had this i Ruptured Achilles, Importance Of Listening, Test Day, About Myself, Ask For Help, New Perspective, Physical Therapy, Weight Lifting, 6 Months
