Water vapor

Water evaporates at room temperature because the molecules at the surface of the liquid have weaker attraction than those in the bulk. When the surface is exposed to sunlight, some molecules gain enough energy to escape into the atmosphere. The level of humidity in the air also plays a role in the process of evaporation.

A gas is one of the four fundamental states of matter consisting of particles that have neither a defined volume nor shape.

When water vapor cools, it condenses. It is a phase change where water changes from a gas to a liquid. Condensation is the opposite of evaporation.

#Evaporation: The process of change of state of water, from liquid to #vapor. May occur by the action of heat, sun or wind, in these cases is known as natural evaporation. When heat is applied to the #water until the #boilingpoint is known as forced evaporation.
