I’m actually not familiar with the word “ardor” but here’s a definition I found: “feelings of great intensity and warmth; fervor. Eagerness; zeal.”
It think they all mean basically the same thing, although I’m not sure the nuance of when to use one or the other. I will say “zeal” is definitely the one I’ve heard the most frequently!☺️

A: They mean the same thing, sort of. Hesitate means to waste time out of fear, or indecisiveness. Dither can mean to just waste time because you're indecisive, not fearful. Very little difference.
You will almost never hear or read the word dither unless you're reading advanced college level text. :)
