My absence in 10 pictures or less

1. I got bangs 2. I'm graduating!! This photo depicts a close to real life reaction when I found out that I would be graduating 2 semesters early! Following May 5th I will be making real adult decisions, help.
3. Problem: Lady knocks over her food when she is eating.

Solution: Brad now uses my tart pan as Lady's food container.

4. We've had visitors! So fun to see Beth and Kris dining/laughing/eating/eye brow tweezing. Maile and the kiddies visiting along with Jules, Ben and their kiddies!

5. February birthdays galore! Brad Sr. Brad Jr. and Reese

6. Lisa and Hondo's wedding!

7. I hung pictures for the fist time by myself. Attention novice decorators. The below photo shows 4 pictures that I hung that took me 4 hours, numerous texts and phone calls to my non novice friend decorator Erica. But I'm so proud of myself!

8. Penny went home back to her cute family in London, and we got to visit them in Arizona!

9. One night there was a knock on the door. I answered the door. There was a person in a giant bunny suit at my door. I giggled wondering who it was. Have you ever talked to a mascot/giant bunny suit? They don't say much. The person in the suit had a piece of paper that they tried to hand me, when I reached for it they pulled back. Terrifying. It was our friend Eric, because that's what normal friends do to each other. And your other question? I have no idea.

Blow my mind

At work we get several catalogues during the week, and it's a little known fact in the office that when we get the new Williams-Sonoma catalogue that I like to be the first to see it. Our new receptionist minutes ago brought me the new catalogue, what? it was part of the training. Anyway, they have this new item called a Egg Waffle Pan that comes from a popular street food in Hong Kong. You can roll them up with fresh fruit or break them in sections and serve with powdered sugar. My mind has been blown, I need this A.S.A.P. And how cute is it?!

Merry Christmas

Brad & Malia Christmas 2010

I can't believe Christmas has crept in already. So since the Christmas cards didn't exactly make it out this year, I thought I would post our picture of what would have been. I hope my family and friends near and far have an excellent holiday season.

Love,

Brad, Malia, Lady & our foreign exchange dog Pens

Igloo

This semester in school we had the option of getting 2 requirements out of the way if we participated in a gingerbread house competition for the Utah Celebration Cultural Center. As with all holiday projects, this little igloo nearly killed me. My original idea was to create a Nintendo castle with all the bells and whistles, but apparently the recipe that I had for gingerbread didn't have the same plans. So, I decided to cut my gingerbread into small rectangles, dip them in royal icing (2xs) and create an igloo, easy enough? Well aside from attempting the Sears Tower or the Egyptian pyramids, I think I chose one of the most difficult structures. But in the end I'm happy with how it tuned out!

Remember when we went to Maui over a month ago? I thought I would post a couple of pics of Maui's delicious sunset. Also, of Brad's completely perfect shirt.

H-A-DOUBLE L-O-W-DOUBLE E-N spells Halloween...

Halloween is one my favorite holidays for 2 reasons, 1) Is there anything cuter than kids dressed up? No. 2) It gives you a reason to dress up in really ugly things. This year I left my costume to the last minute and found myself scouring the racks at DI. When all hope was lost I caught a glimpse of a full length, sleeveless body suit with pink color block that went all the way down the suit and wrapped around the back...it was amazing. So I bought it, tried it on, died of laughter and said to Brad "I could be a Seaworld instructor!" We both laughed, until we realized that it looked really bad on me, in more than one way. So, I resorted to Petah, and Brad went as a really scary old man.
I found this wig on the couch and we decided to incorporate it into my costume, and it was perfect.
Be happy that I didn't post the other picture that I had of the guy sitting next to me. We joked about what was under his board shorts and I said "you probably have a nude colored body suit under there"...and I wish I was wrong.
Brad, Zombie and Me.
I feel like someone is always torturing me on Halloween. Here are 2 proofs of that. Kyle trying to pop a balloon in my ear and Austin being creepy.
