First Day of School

Here are some pictures of the kid's first day of school. They started last week which is crazy because it is so stinking hot that we should really be in the pool all day, but off they went and they each had a pretty good first week. Siena is in 10 grade, Lily 6th, and Spencer 1st. Lily had a feeding tube in because we had just gotten back from vacation and she had stopped eating, but now she is back on track and in the grove of things, so the tube is gone again. Siena and Spencer are stylin' in their new duds and back packs. Hopefully, I can now get loads of things accomplished that I couldn't do with 3 kids under foot. We'll see.

Lily's 11!

I don't know how we have made it this far, but Lily has turned 11! I've decided I need to start doing more weight lifting exercises to be able to continue to lift my growing girl. She is so lanky and leggy. Poor thing gets stepped on and bumped all the time because her limbs stick out all over the place. It's a good thing she is tough.
I love her so much! Loving Lily is so easy, but so painful at the same time. She makes me understand the saying, "Love hurts."
Happy Birthday, my darling Boo. You are so beautiful! I am honored to call you my daughter.

Call me Crazy!

Have you ever made an impromptu decision and then not be able to sleep the whole night because you think that maybe you made the wrong choice. Well, that was me last night.
Call me Crazy, but the yesterday Siena and I went to Walmart and as we were walking in we stopped to pet some puppies that were being sold out front. I didn't plan on getting one, but after talking to Siena, Paul, my Mom, my sister, and my friend, I ended up walking out of there with this little 9 week old Bijon Frise. We have named her Sophie. The kids love her, our cat hates her, and Paul and I are unsure of our sanity, but we think she is the sweetest thing.
I told our kids that she is on trial because she has to be good with Lily or she won't be staying. So far she loves to cuddle up with Lily and hasn't been a problem. I don't know if the cat will ever get used to her. I would hate for Blue Bella to be miserable the next 12 years or so. We'll have to see how that goes. Wish us all luck and mental stability.

Some other events that I missed.

I just love this picture of my handsome husband.
Paul getting ready to run a 10K.

He did a great job. It made me wish that I would have tried it.

We went on a campout close by for Spring Break.

Just hanging out.

I love that smile.
Batman and Robin spotted at the Krey house!

I thought it was a beehive, but Siena said it was the Capitol building.

So tired the boy fell asleep on the arm of the couch.

Siena had to make a poster to represent what she wants to become.(8th grade)

My sweet kids made me a beautiful Mother's Day cake.

Spencer's preschool celebrated Dr Suess's birthday.
Benjamin bear came to our house for a visit. He toured all the preschool kids' homes.
He also went on a field trip to Cold Stone Creamery.
Easter party at preschool.
My second and Paul's first Sprint Triathlon.
Siena advertising school project. She went all out with the labels, decorating the bottles, and making "healthy" wink wink juices. (8th grade)
Siena likes to play with Spencer's hair.
Daddy daughter campout.

My long lost roommate from the MTC and BYU came to town on business. It was so great to see her.

Lily loves her brightly colored skirt. She knew she looked cute that day!

Now on to catch up with some more posts.

Lily's BELATED Birthday Entry

Lily turned 10 last April, but since I was on a blog sabbatical, I missed putting up her birthday entry.
She had a really fun birthday, but unfortunately she woke up with a stye just that morning so her poor eye looks awful, but she didn't let that stop her.
Siena made her this beautiful card with lots of shiny paper. Lily loved it!

At school Lily got to share the birthday fun with all her friends. Everyone loved the donuts. They are one of Lily's favorite foods.

They went on a field trip to the bowling alley. Lily enjoys bowling and is really good at it, if the ramp is pointed in the right direction. Spencer was a great help that day. He got to help Lily and lots of her classmates by getting the ball off the return and putting it on the ramp and then helping them push the ball down. Of course, he got his own turn, too.
What could be more fortuitous than to have your birthday on a field trip day!

Lily and her little brother hanging out in one of her favorite places- a SWING!

I can't believe Lily is 10 and growing so big. Nine years ago I never thought we'd make it this far. What a sweet heart she is. She certainly melts mine!

Labor Day Getaway

We went back to CA for Labor Day weekend because my sister Deborah and her family were going to be there for a wedding. It had been way too long sine we had all gotten together, but we wish Noah could have been there too. We had loads of fun together visiting Downtown Disney, Hollywood, and Rodeo Drive.

While they were doing wedding stuff we went to Huntington Beach. It was nice and cold.
Then on our last day we went to visit my brother Tom and his family. My kids got to meet their new cousins and eat yummy homemade pizza.
