We made it through school! It's been quite the ride and definitely developed us into people I don't think that we would otherwise be. The entire extended weekend as really fabulous. We were able to sit back and enjoy the moment of success. However brief the moment was it was really nice.
Thursday evening we went to the Dean's reception and had a nice dinner with most of his classmates and their spouses (my friends).
Friday night we had an awesome devotional at the stake center with Elder Russell M. Nelson. His words were so encouraging and humanizing of what lies ahead of us.
Saturday morning was hectic but we all got to where we needed to be. My parents, Ryan's parents, and both sets of his grandparents were able to attend. The speaker was really excellent and although a entire ceremony was a tidge on the long side, me and grandpa Brown made it through it!
Ryan receiving his "hood" the MDs received long hoods with a dark green trim to represent medical physicians.
Ryan then received his degree of medicine from the Dean, Dr. Bjorkman
Our family together after the ceremony. Kids weren't allowed to attend... nor would they want to. It was truly a group effort though getting to this point. Each person supporting another in their time of need. And yes this was the best picture we captured... everyones eyes may not be open but it only went down hill from there!
Sunday we had an open house up in Farmington. I think almost everyone who received an invitation came. It was quite overwhelming to receive such an outpouring of love from so many people. We joked that in some ways it was like attending your own funeral. So many people who had touched our lives and help support us throughout many many years.
The next adventure begins now!
