So for the past couple of years I've been updating my blog every 6 months or more. My new years resolution is to be better on keeping my blog up to date. This has been a great way for me to keep in touch with friends and family that are not on facebook. But also I am swapping from scrapbooking to printing out this blog. So this is our family journal. If you haven't been on here in a while then know I have added over 39 posts this week alone so please feel free to go through several pages to catch up.
Also, Facebook has become a public soap box for so many and as much as I love my family and friends, I'm getting burnt out of reading posts about anti-guns, anti-god, pro-obama care, etc, etc, etc. It is truly possible to love someone but not agree with their choices, beliefs, lifestyle, etc. I love everyone on there but am tired of agenda's being rammed down my throat via facebook feeds. I am an emotional person (as much as I hate to admit it) so when I see posts that are so vocal and are about things I disagree with, it affects me. Which then affects my family because my emotions will be all worked up. So I'm going to take a break from Facebook. I'll check in every once in a while (because I'm slightly addicted to the yard sale pages) but I won't be reading everyone's posts nearly as often. This is not directed at anyone in particular!! If you want to know what we are up to, I'll update this and my instagram feed (find me under Magandastudios). Again, I'll still check in on Facebook once in a while but this year I'm focusing a lot less on some things and more on my kids, who are growing up WAY to fast!
Thanks for checking in, for following us and please feel free to leave us your comments. Again, if you haven't been on here in a while (or at least in a week) there are over 39 posts you can sift through. :)
Many hugs, Steph and family.

Bear Lake - Day 1
October 20th -
My friends Jen and Alicia were heading up to bear lake for a weekend getaway with the kids and invited us to join them. I had to come up a day later so we were only able to hang out for half of this day but it was still fun!
We stayed at Jen's timeshare that had this ginormous 3 bedroom suite and a pool. The kids had a great time together!
Vivian found a rock and was showing me. You can't see the rock but that's ok because this "CHEESE" just kills me! :)
Here is most of the kids on the stairs to the timeshare:
Not far from the timeshare was a park and oh boy was it cool! The kids LOVED playing there and I knew we'd have to come back again before heading home.
Even Jen joined in on the fun!
The weather was so nice we could just lay out on the grass while the kids played.
Or update our social statuses. :) HA HA
After the park we went down to the beach. There was a decent breeze by this time so we didn't stay long but the kids LOVED splashing around and digging in the sand.
The trees were such a beautiful fall color. My picture just doesn't do it justice. It was simply breathtaking!
After the playground and the beach we all went to dinner before Jen and Alicia went home. It was pretty pricy for a mom and pop shop but the kids liked the food and it was fun to enjoy a meal together before everyone went their own ways.

pumpkin picture
Oct 17 - The kids got a couple of pictures from a local gas station. If they colored it and brought it back, they would get free slurpee's. So they were excited to color it and bring it back. Here is their masterpiece! :)
football scrimmage
Oct 16 - This season we had 2 scrimmage games at an elite private school called Juan Diego. They have an amazing field and it was fun to be there.
Vivian of course had her bike, and rode it around the track:
Peyton and another girl on the team played on a big cushion (I'm sure there is some official name for it, but I don't know what it is. So cushion it is)
Then Vivian joined in on the fun:
We made some amazing friends on team and one of them had a boy about the same age as Vivian. His name is Keaton and he played so well with Vivian. Here he is, total doll huh?
Here are just a few of the friends we made. :) What a fun crew!!
And another shot of Vivian on her bike.
Here is Sebastian and Landen:

Spiders
Oct 12 - I admit, this post name freaks me out. I HATE spiders and they give me goose bumps just thinking of them. However I got a couple of neat shots of some and had to share.
This first one was on a trail. I have no idea what kind it is but the kids were fascinated by it, and I admit it was a little cool looking.... from afar.
This second one just wigs me out because this was from our driveway. So a little too close to home and as soon as I got the shot, I made Paul drown it with spider spray. EEEEK!! This was a hobo spider fighting another spider. The hobo totally won but hopefully the spider spray did it's job and we won in the end.

Football
October 12 - Our football team is doing great! We had a team of 18 boys and 15 of them were playing for the very first time so with that in mind, they are doing fantastic! There is my "x-man", #60 with the big "X" on his helmet.
For my family not in Utah, what is an "X-man"? Our league has weight restrictions and if you are over a certain weight you are regulated to a particular position (lineman). Sebastian is a solid boy and exceeded the cut off weight limit and that is why was a lineman and has the "X" on his helmet. He naturally gravitates to a linebacker play style and this was a hard transition for him but he did well. He desperately wants to be a linebacker next year but it may be another year or two before that becomes an option for him. He's just SOLID! :)
Here he is, getting that tackle! WAY TO GO!!!
Paul's working that stick. :) HAHA
3 of our 4 coaches:
Half time treats:
Vivian playing with other kids on our team:
Our team had an award called "The Block Rock". Sebastian had received this award today for great blocking. We are SO proud of him! We were worried that his position wouldn't get much recognition but he was totally recognized and it pumped him up! Way to go buddy!

Girls Night Out
Reading
Oct 10 - I sent the kids to bed. Fifteen minutes later they were still being loud. I barreled down the hallway, ready to holler at the kids to go to sleep, but then I walked in on this. All 3 kids, cuddled up in Sebastian's bed and Sebastian was reading. I stopped in my tracks, watched momentarily before running to get my camera. This was too precious of a moment to pass up. Love these little rascals!!
stomping
October 10 - So Vivian and I had gone to Kohls and while she was riding around on her trike, she found these rain boots. They were the only ones in the store, no tags but she refused to put them down. So they came home with us. I think they are so cute. So while it was raining, I bundled her up and she went stomping around in the rain puddles.
Crazy hair day
October 10 - So it was crazy hair day at school. I was poorly prepared and scoured pinterest at the last minute to find something crazy to do with Peyton's hair. Although there were a few tears during the process, I think her crazy hair turned out so fun!!
Since her hair was so big, I had to pull out the beach umbrella to cover everything so it didn't get ruined on the way to the bus. :) LOL!

Location Scouting
Oct 10th - I was going to do a couple of photo shoots and wanted a new spot that I haven't seen other local photographers use. It probably wasn't the BEST spot, but I liked that it was different. However I wasn't sure how to get there, so Paul and Vivian helped me scout it out and figure out how to get there. While there I played with some shots to see what it would look like.
