summer recap
its almost over and I have yet to post updates!
June
I got to go out of town to visit my sister and childhood BF from Ohio. I was thrilled to get to meet my new niece, Evie, and spend time with friends and family I hadnt seen in a while. Chris was at home with the kids and I appreciated it so much. This was him paying me back for hunting season!
July was busy. started off the month with Cohen having more seizures followed by testing at primary childrens. The tests all came back in normal range so we are just hoping that he will outgrow these episodes. He wont go near strangers anymore in fear of them poking and prodding him! poor guy! on a happy note, he is growing and starting to repeat everything you say, and kick the soccer ball like a pro..bottom line is we love this little man!
Fourth of july weekend, I got to go to stadium of fire with my BF Lisa. We had so much fun and carrie underwood can sing just as good live. she is incredible. My shower singing definately doesnt compare.
Anzlie had a birthday and we took her to Pirate Island in orem. It happened to be karaoke night and she got up there and signed herself up and waited her turn. I was impressed she did this on her own. when it was her turn, I expected her to freeze and run off the stage, but apparently 7 year olds are all grown up because she didnt need any help and she belted out taylors swifts love story word for word and in perfect pitch. I was shocked, then I felt bad for not knowing she was this good at singing, then proud all at the same time! at the end of the song she rocked the key change and it ended with a standing ovation and people waving money in the air for her. she was so thrilled! we ran into the mall and she waved her money in the air at disney store and said, wait dont close! I have money. I have enough for the jewelery box now, I earned it! It was such a fun night followed by, "thanks mom, this was the best birthday ever!"
We took a trip to arizona for a few days, and before you arizona friends get upset that i didnt see you, it was only because we didnt have time! chris didnt even see his own brother! we will be back for a good amount of time later this year.
We had my nephew here for a few weeks and spent a lot of time doing fun things and swimming and such mostly because I couldnt handle 5 kids cooped up in our condo all day!
august has been fun and filled with soccer. I have been playing well lately and it feels good to reach my personal goals. I feel such a stress release when I play soccer. for me, it is just what i need to regain my energy for raising my kiddos.
I have also been coaching a U 14 club team and playing on 4 teams myself and chris is on 2 teams, there is little time left over. i was released from nursery and put in the relief society presidency mainly over visiting teaching. I seem to like to be busy. I felt like we hadnt had much of a break lately so last weekend we went camping with our old neighbors and created wonderful memories. I had so much fun there was a zip;ine, and 4 wheelers and a lake with a paddleboat and campfire fun!
It was just what we needed.
anzlie started 2nd grade and she loves school! Landon is excited to be a kindergartner but I am a little nervous. I worry about him catching something at school with the germs so we sent him with his own lysol wipes to wipe down his area and the teacher agreed to call us if there is a concerning illness in the class. I have run into red tape trying to get him registered. he cant be immunized due to his condition and getting a hold of the release form has been a joke. Im sick of dealing with people that give you a hard time. I refuse to pay a huge fee to get a piece of paper that excuses him for not being immunized when It isnt our fault he cant be. I am still working on it but either way, school starts wednesday for landon! He surprised me with his kindergarten testing by knowing all math questions even taking 4 away from 25 then adding 1 he knew every answer and when it came to reading he couldnt even identify the word "boy" even though it was the only word that started with a b. Anzlie was opposite, fully reading by kindergarten but terrible at math!
Im excited for fall to come!
