Angest's wealth leapt from PS156million in 2018 to PS190million this year, according to the Sunday Times rich list.

Angest said the pre-paid debit card is aimed at helping customers of debt management companies "and is of real interest to us as it provides bank account facilities without extending credit".

Angest, 77, whose personal wealth is estimated to be more than PS135million, is the owner of Ashmore and Strone - a British company who benefit from the vast EU handouts.
