It's just too difficult to come up with a title but I was thinking that these outfits I bought for Carter and Moon are just that, casual wears that suits perfectly at home and to the corner store or anywhere else.

Just relax

I am on a mission to shop for Carter. I've been itching to play with the shape sliders again and putting shapes on the marketplace again but Moon's inventory is already too heavy to add another 'build' category in it and I've been thinking of passing the 'job' to Carter.
It makes me giggle because men always say that women have a million alts and although I don't deny it because women are natural hoarders, I see no wrong in having multiple alts as long as it is not used negatively.
I use my alt when I want to be alone and I don't add friends on my alt.

Somehow, with Carter, I tend to have her wear very casual laidback outfits. The kind of outfits my elder daughter would wear. It will be a challenge to make mature shapes with her. Well, it is still a plan. Right now I am shopping for affordable skins. And clothes. And hair. And shoes.... the list is endless.

The little white dress

For a long time, I've always went back to wearing Elate Felicity in ice dress because I love how Moon looks wearing the layered dress. Now with Cynful latest The 'Shimmy' Dress in grey, which looks similar to the Felicity dress, I will be boxing up the dress. So far, I've boxed up almost all the items from the jacket folder. Boxing is not a fast process:(

I also shortened Moon by 2 both in height and legs. There doesn't seemed to be much difference.

hunting for today's cheapies

I went looking for freebies today. After browsing the fashion blogs, I went to the Black Fair to get some poses from Purple Poses. It's been a while since I bought poses and it was time for an update.

I then tried getting the stuffs I had demoed and from this month's Collarbor88 but it was so laggy, my linden balance kept on reverting to -1L and I had to get my other avatar to pay Moon 1L to get it back to normal.

Then after I accidentally bought the wrong product, I knew I had to get out before it happen again. So that means another day for shopping those stuffs.

I love low-rise flared jeans and crop tops so this hunt item was a must for me.

Elven Fantasy

I wanted to see if Moon would still feel like Moon in her everyday Anais skin. I hate changing skins and shapes just for certain ideas even though I have tons of skins because once I love a certain skin, I feel like that's Moon and changing would make her a different person and in turn, not me. I think it's a silly notion, but that's how I feel.
Those ears with those chains look so sexy, I might not take them off.

And since Moon is in a bikini, I thought I'd do Strawberry Singh's meme/challenge. I've never done one of them before but this meme/challenge calls out to the creative side in me.
It took me a while to think of the right movie poster for Moon. In the end, I had to log in the malt to join in the picture.

My Fair Moon

This week's Group Gift from The White Armory reminds me of the movie My Fair Lady although no lady from that era would ever be wearing such a plunging neckline.

Time for Snow

It's Monsoon time where I am. Rains everyday and it's cold for me, but not as cold as winter. I couldn't find any mesh coats or jackets that I like and I wanted to go to the Calas Galadhon sim because I knew it would be winter there. So in the end, I wore all old stuffs which still looks good even on a small size Moon.

Hmmm this reminds me of a Malay proverb that literally translate Carry your own basket which means praising yourself but..... I say this, if you're not confident on how good you look or how good your avatar looks, when everyone else praises you, you'll be floored or worst, you'll get suckered in by unscrupulous people.

Weekly colour challenge-Charcoal

I had so many 'charcoal' in my inventory, it was difficult to choose. That's the Maitreya Siobhan hat from early this year and Jane's long wool dress from last year.
Somehow the pale lips and hat makes this look retro.

My new look

Something I picked up at the Boho Culture. In real life I dress like a hippie but in SL, I don't feel like dressing my avatar as one. Except for the flamboyant print, this gown is almost formal.
As expected, most of the clothes at the event are mesh. This gown is from On a Lark. It comes with the accessories. Isn't that great? No need to search my jewellery folder and rack my brain trying to remember the names and images of my baubles. Why do women need so much stuffs? Sometimes I am tempted to just thrash everything and just keep my favorites.

I also changed my avatar's skin this week. I'm gonna miss the cute face of Fiep, but I wanted a face that is mature-looking but still sweet-looking too and I've fallen in love with the [PXL] Faith skin. I've also scaled down my avatar. She no longer towers over everybody else but she's still tall and voluptuous and she's a size Mmesh but sometimes she has to wear a size Lmesh. The fickleness of mesh-wear:/

I also completed my latest house but I'm not satisfied with the exterior so I don't think I'll be putting it up on Marketplace until I redo/renovate the house again.... like adding a door or a wall or retexture that sort of stuffs. But this is how the interior would look like:

Weekly Challenge-Hunter Green

Except for the top, everything that I am wearing are old stuffs. Well, the top is old too. It's from the sale going on at Miamai at the moment.

Papaya Whip-colour challenge

Why is it that the truth makes me feel I have to be on the defensive? Where is the truth in the meaning the truth will set you free? I shouldn't have to get my shotgun out. I shouldn't have to crack my whip. And I surely do not have to set my dog on you!

Anyway, for this week's colour challenge, I look into my very dependable Sn@tch closet. Papaya whip looks like yellow-beige to my eyes.

Dresses short and sassy

.evolve is having a sale and I've been eyeing this orangey minidress for a while now but because it's mesh, I've resisted until now. It was horrible wearing in L size so I took out my slimmer size 5 avatar to fit in.
I suddenly realised while I was doing the poses that dramatic poses is not a friend to some mesh dresses. So many restrictions is frustrating.

Just give me mesh furnitures.

Anyway, Carter is looking hot in this peplum minidress from Zenith(groupgift) but then, being skinny she can wear a sack and still look good! Haha, I remember when my aunts used to say that of me..... now I say that to my daughters. Being wrinkled and thin is just no good. Makes the person look sick.

I saw this wonderful free mesh dress from {Novo Colsa} on the feed and went to get it. Moon looked ok wearing it in size L but better in size S. I changed the face and body shape to fit in with Tuli's Suri skin.

This is the one-shoulder group gift.

Colour Challenge-Royal Blue

Since there were 2 kinds of royal blue, the traditionally dark blue and the new lighter version of the royal blue, I thought I'd wear both and to add to the confusion, I decided to wear my old colourful psycho sock from years ago.
And.
Let's just run away, me and my dog Jack.
I wish.
Oh on a more serious note, that is a pose I did and I am very happy with the outcome.

Hair Fair 2012, gifts and scarves

 The scarves are 50L each.

I think this year there are more hair gifts than last year. I didn't have time to take pictures of all the gifts I received and some of the pictures didn't turn out well and I didn't have time to retake them. Some of the hairstyles on sale were almost the same as the ones I already have from other designers so I didn't get them, even if some of the proceeds go to charity.
I took back a lot of demos although when it wasn't so laggy on the event sims, I tried out the demos there.

I'm thinking of Mermaids when I bought this hair. The seashells and starfish hairband sold me.

These 2 hairstyles from Emo-tions is ingenious...2 in 1 AND and animation to boot! I love it.

This hair doesn't go well with all AOs because it's not mesh. It's a great looking hair for taking pictures though but I'll need to mod it so that the strands won't stick into Moon's boobs. I love the colour, strawberry blonde on my avatar.

This hair is also another 2 in 1 style but without the animation. The ponytail can be attached and detached so I could dress my avatar up or down.
