kim dokja really introduces us to yoo joonghyuk like yeah this is my favourite character in the whole wide world, he's singlehandedly kept me alive for 13 years, he's my idol, he's an incredibly written work of art. also he sucks so bad and i want to hit him with my car. brother if your biggest inspiration in life chokes you when you first meet you might need to look inward
nono, he gets it. he is on the right path, that is exactly what having a blorbo feels like
For some reason I feel like Xie Lian and Percy Jackson would get along really well. like Percy would be like "the gods fucking suck" and Xie Lian would be like "I understand completely" while gesturing vaguely at all the corruption in the Heavenly Court.
Honestly cultivation would just like, work in the Riordan verse. Especially the cultivation and immorality as used in TGCF. Percy would just look at it and go "Welp. Guess that's another set of mythology I have to learn about so I dont die"
As much as I love Mobei Jun and Luo Binghe being jealous about the cumplane friendship as the next person, I present to you:
Mobei Jun and Luo Binghe being actually happy that those two have each other. Because they can't understand their spouses at times. And whenever that happens they arrange a meeting for these two. Because whatever the other is going through right now, they somehow know exactly what to do to cheer the other one up.
They understand that those two are something like soulmates and they respect that. There is something extremely mature about knowing that there are just some things that you can't give your partner, but their friends can.
Mobei Jun and Luo Binghe probably were super anxious in the beginning, seething with jealousy and feeling helpless all at the same time. Especially when their spouses seem to have some kind of homesickness. Now they at least don't need to feel helpless anymore, because they know what helps in these situations.
And after these meetings they get a refreshed and happy husband back. It's a win-win.
See, the problem is that the exiled hermits are just going to start building up and out of their situation pretty quickly. It’s like they’re just doing another let’s play- iron, diamonds, etc are easily within reach. This is why I am suggesting to the permit office that they should visit the exiled once a day and make them throw all of their items into a hole and- *I am killed instantly*
me when i have to go to my job that i willingly applied for and honestly isn’t even difficult and is on the whole pretty enjoyable
One of the things I think about regarding TGCF is, like, the insidious way that Bai Wuxiang chose to destroy Xianle. Xie Lian wanted to save the common people, but the only skill he was interested in learning was the sword. He even actively shirked being Crown Prince by fucking off to Taicang Mountain to cultivate.
So Bai Wuxiang gave him a trial that could not be defeated by the sword. He sent a plague. He sent political unrest, refugees, xenophobia, poverty. He sent all these things you can't just slay like a hero. And then! And then he said, well, actually… you can use a sword to defeat the plague :))) Try it, everyone!

#interesting way to think about it#like especially reading other political danmeis and drama#had Xie Lian taken his duties as prince seriously he might have found other solutions#thats a big maybe#say if like Chang Geng and Prince Jing#who with help were able to subvert quite a few similar issues that no one else could
Ah, but I hadn't even thought of it that way, because it doesn't matter. Even if Xie Lian had been good at politics or statecraft, Bai Wuxiang would have still used a method he wouldn't have been able to counteract. It doesn't matter. All Bai Wuxiang really wanted was to make a point--or maybe about a hundred points, right through Xie Lian's chest ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Exactly, yeah, no matter what solution Xie Lian found to solving the over all issues, it doesn't change that Bai Wuxiang would've continued to target him. There would still be that threat, and no matter what Bai Wuxiang would find yet another point to target him with.

The Lives of the Cowboys and touring cowboys were real popular in Europe all through the narrow window of time they were around, and extended their ability to make a living by touring Europe so no, Bram Stoker already knew about cowboys that way. HOWEVER, his friendship with Teddy likely meant his cowboy was a lot more BELIEVABLY AMERICAN than his peers'.
