Shadow awoke to a flicky perched on his face. He gently placed them on the ground before surveying his environment.
The dark hedgehog found himself in a massive jungle. The sunlight barely filtered through the canopy, casting most of the forest in darkness. Shadow’s eyes then drifted on a familiar landmark, the loop-de-loop. Before he could ponder further, his enhanced hearing picked up on a voice coming towards him. Not wanting to take any chances Shadow skated and crouched behind a bush.
“Remember not to make a sound. The monster could be anywhere.”
Rouge? No, that's not her. She would never wear dark green eyeshadow.

This story will be of SONICFAN's (my Sonic OC, for this story) perspective, with rather little of Sonic's screen time [you may choose to use your own Sonic OC over mine, if you want].
Before you set your expectations on this, no, Sonic is not going to be written poorly, like how he's actually written in the actual show.
This is my first time doing this kind of story, so I might not be the best at it, so I won't mind any criticism on this.
Also, no hate on any gay/lesbian people who read this. Speaking of romance, there will be fairly little moments of those, because what I have thought of what themes I want to implement is more of a slightly darker tone, which would correspond to the moral of this story; "mending those who are broken" {because everyone is broken, like the Paradox Prism}.

Boscage Maze exists independently from the events of Sonic Prime. Thus, Sonic never visits to help resolve Thorn and the scavenger’s feud. Fearing that her entire group will succumb to starvation, Prim makes a last ditch effort to plea with Thorn. She offers to leave the forest completely if Thorn agrees to take in and care for Mangey. Thorn agrees.
Basically an extended story for the Boscage characters, focused on Mangey.

So in this story, things will be different, shadow and Sonic are together. And due to the alien dna, and shadow being intersex, is able to get pregnant. (Which is why it says pregnancy’s and unplanned pregnancy up above somewhere if I did that right)
Not that anyone knows about it, shadow does, but found out on accident but it didn’t cross his mind that he might end up having a kid with Sonic. Of course before he could find out- the paradox prism happened. -
