Summary
Astarion's eyes flick to Tav. And for the first time this evening, his gaze rests. Tav's face shows nothing, carefully composed, unreadable even to Astarion's cunning. It makes his gaze linger. Voluntarily or involuntarily, Astarion isn't certain. He doesn't care. What he cares about is the aura that Tav radiates. He has seen it many times over the years, in Cazador himself as well as in his master's enemies and allies; that promise of power. It's delicious.
Astarion sees a way out of two centuries of servitude and humiliation under Cazador Szarr in Tav, a fellow victim of the mind flayers' abduction.
His next steps are instinctive. Manipulation is what he knows, what he's good at, what his master kept him around for.
The plan works—until Astarion realizes that Tav might be more than he bargained for.

Or: Allies with benefits turns into a sizzling slow burn. Our protagonists get to know each other by sharing good but mostly bad memories, becoming friends, and eventually more.
As they do, the events of 1492 DR in and around Baldur's Gate unfold around them. Annoying companions, teasing banter, and trauma included. -

Summary
Love doesn’t erase darkness, but maybe it provides enough light to survive it.
Malis wakes up on a crashing Nautiloid ship with no memory of how she got there—just a tadpole in her skull and a burning desire to murder everything in sight. Great start. Add a murderous Dark Urge that whispers sweet nothings about bloodshed, and things only get worse.
Enter Astarion: the eternally dramatic vampire spawn with a knack for trouble and a smile as sharp as his daggers. They meet by knife-point, naturally. And while she rather enjoys that he’s only slightly less murdery than she is, their spicy, messy entanglement becomes the least of their problems.
Thrown together in a mess of illithid horrors, crazed cults, ancient gods, and highly questionable blood drinking, the two wrestle with love, power, and the darkness within.
“We’re the same, you and I,” he once told her. “Monsters.”
If you’re into epic battles, biting banter, shameless smut, and two broken people trying (and failing) to keep it together, this is one such story.

Summary
Paranoia.
That was the only word Astarion could use to describe this place. Who knew what was hiding in the crooked trees? Goblins? Cultist? Orin? Or even his former master finally come to reclaim him and make good on his threat to kill his favorite Bhaalspawn.
Things were just getting more complicated, and more dangerous in these Shadowcursed lands.

Summary
Shadowheart gets rescued by a teenager on the nautiloid, the problems that causes should have been expected.
In which no one is there to wrangle the tadfools and they have to work through their trauma together while also hopefully keeping their tag-along alive.
Melody would just like them to please not ask too many questions, but it's relatively easy to hide what she is if everyone has secrets and there is an actual vampire in camp.
Lest anyone find out that she hungers for something far worse than blood.

Summary
Nora Feyre was a middle-aged math teacher with a sketchy past, questions about her identity, and an unhealthy enjoyment of killing.
Astarion was a vampire spawn who thirsted for blood, freedom, and revenge on his cruel master.
When a Mindflayer ship kidnaps them and drops them into a fight for survival, neither wants to catch feelings for anyone, let alone for each other. Even long after these two idiots had already fallen in love, it takes all of Karlach's best efforts to keep them from fucking it up.
A slow burn, canon-respectful but divergent retelling of the main plot of BG3. Emphasis on divergent.

Summary
Once, there was a haunted bluegrass-playing half-elf bard with a dark past who met a charmingly cringefail elven vampire with a dark past and they flirted one another into oblivion until they fell in love. They collect a group of delightful chucklefucks on the road and they all banter their way through the darkness to face their demons and save the world together.
A retelling of the campaign written with sitcom-level dialogue and tons of found family and healing from trauma tropes. Very Schitt's Creek but with more violence.
AKA 18 Charisma bard sees through 10 Charisma vamp-boy's bullshit and falls for him anyway. But he falls first.

Summary
Between the beats of Tav’s heart, the world winked from existence. Astarion lurched in confusion, clawing at his own throat when he realized that he couldn’t hear himself scream. He could feel someone’s grip squeeze his wrist painfully tight. They tugged him towards some random direction, and he tripped over his own feet, tumbling to the ground.
Five years post-game. While headed to Gale’s tower, Astarion is cursed by a vicious spell that sends him reeling. Tav is immediately captured by the mysterious woman who cast it--someone angry and powerful, with a vendetta against them both. Blind, deafened, and terrified, Astarion soon finds himself caught up in the throes of a vast conspiracy that involves his haunting past, the Urge’s many sins, and the very future of Waterdeep.
(Meanwhile, Gale has problems of his own...)

Summary
An early-morning stakeout mission at the Szarr palace ends badly when Ereldra, a Seldarine Drow with a bad murder habit, meets the wrong vampire at the worst possible time. Now, in addition to her dark, twisted urges she’s only just started remembering, she also has to contend with vampirism.
Together, Ereldra and Astarion work through tough transitions, grief, and falling in love while trying desperately to save the world with their wonderful band of weirdos.
*This is a rewrite of “A Terrible Parting Gift”, as it was… terrible. 😂 This version of the fic is longer, with more whump, more angst, more fluff, and MINTHARA, because I love her.
