Basically just the Stanley Parable but in a semi-cohesive storyline, along with a few extra things - put in tastefully, of course.
The slowburn tag counts for 99% of the Story, apologies. :)

"The end is never the end is never the end is never the end is never..."
Stanley was ignorant. By both definitions. He did care when he left the Narrator all alone for years; but the game would reset and everything would be normal again. The skip button was something new, something you didn't know what it would do. In the Parable, there were only so many choices and endings, you would bore of it when you knew everything.
But as the years passed, and as the Narrator's mind slipped more and more away from him, the skip button was no longer usable.
And the game never reset.
So it was just Stanley, wandering the barren desert of what was the game, with the Narrator over his shoulder, hoping that one day, somewhere in the future, he would return.(Inspired by bucketbrainrot on Tumblr, you should check them out!)

Summary
The Narrator is fine. His story is being enjoyed, the Parable is in perfect condition, and he and Stanley have a great relationship! Stanley may be acting strangely at times, but he’s human, they all have their quirks. The Narrator is willing to look past it.
Everything is fine. Even if Stanley thinks it isn’t.
A collection of runs from the Narrator’s POV.

The Narrator wasn't meant to be cared about, to be loved. What was he supposed to do, when Stanley confessed his feelings to him?
He thought distracting Stanley would be the way to go, to make him see that loving him was a bad idea.
How could he have expected his control over time wasn't something to tie to a button?Updates every Tuesday and Friday!

Something was lingering in Stanley’s mind.
Something so powerful and persistent.
So overwhelming and strong.
An urge.
The urge to hurt himself. -

It was a weird feeling being buried alive.
Feeling eyes close and open, back pressed against the cold floor. Eyes reaching up to the ceiling, small room now everything left for one to call home.
-Inspired by Rory Webley's song 'Buried alive' (also named after it lol)
