Jinx snapped back to reality. She thrashed in the water, gasping, her wild eyes locking onto Ekko standing in front of her.
"You got into my head, you bastard!" she yelled, swinging her fists at him.
"You were losing it! I was trying to help!" he shot back, dodging and trying to grab her wrists before she could land a hit.
"Ohhh, so you thought, ‘Hey, let’s take a little peek inside the psycho’s brain! That’ll be fun, right?!’"
"Jinx, you know that’s not what this was!" – he caught her arms, holding her still.
"Oh yeah? Then what the hell was it?!" she snapped.
"Look, let’s just..."
"Oh, let’s just talk? Yeah? Or how about you go suck yourself off instead?"
She pushed him away and climbed out of the water, seething and angry.
A monk nearby cleared his throat, looking at them disapprovingly. "You are in a temple. Your behavior is disgraceful."
Jinx smirked, pointing a finger at him. "Oh? Then why don’t you make sure Ekko sucks himself off properly?"

Her grip on his shoulder tightened, like holding onto him would ground her spiraling free thoughts. “I need you to pretend you're my boyfriend. Just for tonight,” Somehow, his eyes kept getting wider and wider. His gaze softened to complete disbelief.

Another shot downed, then a second that was really a fifth, then a third that was really a sixth. If he couldn’t stop thinking about then on his own then he’d get so wasted he couldn’t think at all.
