Synopsis: In the overgrown forestry of Blue Oak, something long forgotten has become unearthed.
April Adams, a chemist, poisoner, and ever elusive criminal, finds himself in charge of mitigating the disaster beginning to poison the forest and its residents.
But as April's past begins to haunt him in the vast woodland - and the discovery that more than he'd bargained for lurks beneath the surface of his home village - he starts to realize there might not be a way out for any of them.
The quaint religious commune of Sight is a highly sought after place to live. People will convert religions, leave families, marry unhappily, just to live there. But a dark secret that transpires through history is slowly revealed through the death of the commune's most prominent leaders.
Desperate for help, Arizona Close is visited by his sister-in-law with the news his parents are dead, and his brother needs his help. Wishing to repair the damage he'd done when he'd left, he begrudgingly agrees to return for the funeral. But his need for answers soon cause secrets to become unearthed.
I physically cannot give a synopsis of this book without spoiling book two, but here's something:
The book centers around the character of Ana, who founded the organisation that Ari and April work for. The book is centered in the city of Cyber, so it has more Cyberpunk vibes. It's less of a mystery and more of a thriller, with countdowns against the clock, lots of tension, and heartache. Ari and April are also in this book, but both are reeling from their homecomings and are worse than functionally useless - they are self-destructive. So, trying to solve (the plot) and trying to keep her friend, and insane chemist together, Ana has got to figure out who she's willing to become.
In the beginning there was the Forest and the Sea. The Sea so loved the Forest that it gifted it life; the Forest so loved life that it moulded it into humanity. Humanity's complexities grow as they do, and with it, so do their crimes. To relieve humankind of its imbalance, the Forest created the Seven Cardinal Sins. This is their interactions with humanity.
Balance is stored in the magic of the Forest's king. His sleep ensures that stability is kept between all the elements. When he wakes, long before he should, the balance collapses, and the end is nigh.

Dea has spent her entire life trying to fit in, trying to understand the people around her. Luckily her best friend is an outgoing, talkative, always-in-the-centre-of-attention sort of person. If only she'd figure out sooner that it was because it was a bored fey going for its sixth university degree.
Aspen was charged with guarding its lover, the Forest's King, as he slept to maintain the balance. But 150 years is a long time, and getting distracted is its specialty. Now its got to find him again.
And it looks like Dea's coming with it.

About Me
About My WIPs
So at the moment, I'm only focusing on two main big ones - To Be Damned and the second one No One Mourns The Wicked.
To Be Damned is a Vampire/Vampire Hunter paranormal urban fantasy wip where a Vampire Hunter is hunting to avenge her fallen wife, when she returns home and finds things falling apart there. She has to pull herself together to get to the bottom of things. But there are truths even she doesn't know.
No One Mourns The Wicked is actually an old WIP I have of mine used to be called Terraclaw, that I've moved from being high fantasy to an urban fantasy Vampire paranormal wip where a Vampire Hunter is hunting his lost love and her family, only to discover something is off about the whole village and yet he can't figure out what it is exactly. The village seems protective of the Vampire family.... especially when he's there to ruin everyone's day.

Synopsis
It's not like the end of the world came entirely suddenly, it's not like it came without it's secrets, either. Secrets that are still managing to kill what's left of the human race, 200 years since the world went kaput.
In the overgrown forestry of Blue Oak, something long forgotten has become unearthed.
The Story
In an isolated remnant of a destroyed earth, people still live in whatever way they can. Some are well-rounded individuals with meaningful lives. Others are...these characters.
The Poison Complex is a story about growing up lonely and afraid, what that does to a person, and how it haunts them into adulthood. It is also a love story, in a way, but not a romantic one.
The World
This is Book 1/3 of Arcadian Wilds, set in a fictional apocalyptic science lab the size of a small country. Blue Oak is an overgrown forest, and the only real forest in the land. Other areas have land, especially this long after the war - but they threaten to lose it again due to overconsumption.
The Links
The first book sets up the world for the reader, and introduces some characters that disappear and reaper throughout the series. Each book revolves around a different character, but the stories interweave throughout.
I have a genuine question, where the hell did this science lab get the money to be built the size of a small country.
Great question!
Before the war started, the billionaires KNEW that the war was coming and thought they could sort of build their own paradise in the apocalypse if they selected enough people to continue the labour for them. And honestly it WAS satire but now *gestures around loosely* not so sure.
So Arcadia was founded by the richest families on earth, a place they could be safe, and have people who would grow food for them and work for them, and they could just low-key reap the benefits.
This is unfathomably horny. There's no porn, but it's horny.
Or: Ari had expected a lot of fighting, killing, stabbing in his life, he never quite saw himself as being flustered by a pretty man. Wearing his shirt.
