Becky Clarke on Instagram: "My biggest regret…. Is NOT starting this project sooner! Seriously, we love it! Having the bannister and rails all black has completely elevated the space. For anyone thinking about painting their staircase black here’s my top tips! 1: Just do it. Trust your gut. It’s gonna look fab. 2: Before starting make sure you give everything a good clean. 🧼 3: If you’re doing this yourself a tanning mit makes all the difference. It’s so easy to use and creates a smooth finish especially on the bannister 4: Prepare for carnage. The first coat looks grim. You’ll be thinking 🤔 why did I do this? But by coat two you’ll be obsessed 😍 5: We used @frenchicpaint in the colour loof and I have 0 regrets it has a really mat finish and the quality is amazing. Mary Walker on Instagram: "Bank holiday DIY! I showed this in stories a while ago and as we were doing more of it yesterday I thought this deserved a spot on the grid! It’s so cool. The paint I used is Dulux drip free gloss and it is true to its word. I painted the tops and bottoms with a brush and the middle of the spindles using a paint mitt from Amazon. It worked so well. So fast, great cover and the job was done in half an hour. So if you have stair painting to do get a paint glove. And another useful tool I showed in my stories when painting stairs is the carpet protection adhesive roll. One more coat and they are done. Then it’s a search for stair rods. #homedecorating #paintingtools #decoratingtips #paintglove #stairdecor #homerenovation #paintingtips #paintingstairs #s Painted And Carpeted Stairs, Bannister Painting Ideas, Painting Stair Spindles Black, Stair Banister Paint Ideas, Staircase Ideas Painted, Painted Spindles On Stairs, Stair Painting Ideas, Staircase Painting Ideas, Bannister Ideas Painted
