Dreamed there was an extremely popular website that was like letterboxd but solely for episodes of Colombo, and it had this very ultramodern design with a great UI except for the comments section, which was coded exactly like a 2003 forum complete with signatures, sock puppet accounts, and dial-up loading speeds. anyway I have no beef with this on waking I think it's nice, but in the dream I was on here like 'ugh columboboxd people have no idea what they're TALKING about'

the large vertical cuts threw me off cause they're shallower, so in various light sources they almost completely disappear on screen!

anyway this is my plea to crystal companies: please stop making the same hatched pattern over and over it's very hard for an amateur antiquer and tumblr blogger to identify these patterns through columbo screenshots

ETA: just realized this is the same pattern that shows up in s8e4 Grand Deceptions! and with a beautiful clear close-up shot of the glasses no less. just delightful. really wish more shows would go out of their way to do close ups of their various fancy props
