Welcome! I'm Heartshaven (she/her)
I'm a big Doctor Who expanded universe nerd, so if you're looking for analysis and discussion about the Whoniverse, you're in the right place.
I also do reconciliation of different Doctor Who EU stories. If you two (or more!) Doctor Who stories that contradict each other, I would be delighted if you would send them to me so that I can figure out a way to reconcile them within the Whoniverse. I've linked some of my reconciliations right here - please do check them out!
My big large-effort Doctor Who EU reconciliation essays:
- Using the EU to show how Gallifrey survived the Jodie Whittaker era
- Reconciling The Timeless Children with Lungbarrow (and explaining why I think the Doctor is a dhampir)
- Explaining why Mary Shelly and the Thirteenth Doctor did not recognize each other even though Shelly was a companion of the Eighth Doctor
- Why the Gallifreyan Presidency is such a mess (slightly less formally written-out)
- Resolving the UNIT Dating Controversy
- How old the Doctor is
- Explaining how the Tardis was able to bypass the Time Locks in the tv episode Listen (slightly less formally written-out)
(two quick notes - one, not every reconciliation is gonna be that long. Those are just the ones I am proudest of. And two, the audio story The Kingmaker contradicts way too many things even I am not touching it)
Plugging different parts of the Who EU:
- Reasons you should read the Titan Tenth Doctor comics
- Reasons you should listen to Doom Coalition
- Reasons you should read Down the Middle
Other things I wanna share:
- My Reading Guide to the Doctor Who New Adventures
- My Beginner's Guide to the Big Finish Main Range
- My review and recommendation of 7 Days for Fae, a middle-grade book about an autistic girl
Almost everything on this blog is either a post I made or something I have relogged with a reply. If you want to see reblogs that I don't have anything to add to, check out @heartshavensreblogs.
I love interacting with fellow fans, so feel free to leave comments or asks! And that's basically it! Welcome to the blog - I hope you have a good time here
