An extremely rare #pedal-related post for me, but I feel like this #Digitech #SupernaturalAmbientVerb (swipe left for closeup) pedal has changed my world (playing-wise anyway!).
.
Let me explain: for a while now I have been thinking about improving my #reverb situation. I mean the #EHX #HolyGrail Nano does a fine the job but it’s just basic mono reverb. I was thinking of getting into something really “big” sounding, with stereo output. Knowing this, my trusty amp tech @marshalllespaulfan lent me this pedal when I dropped off my ProReverb for service a couple of weeks ago. And I cannot stress enough how much I am enjoying it!
.
I have always played in stereo, running a dry signal direct out of my Boss DD3 to one amp, and the delayed output to the reverb pedal and then to a separate amp. This setup sounded bigger than playing into a single amp, plus it separated the dry signal from the wet signal which had the added benefit of keeping the source unmuddied by overly saturated reverb. That was a decent setup, but with this pedal I can now send the reverb to TWO different amps instead of one. It sounds MASSIVE! 🤣
.
Plus this pedal gives me a lot more tonal options than I had before with settings like “shimmer” “supernova” and “shine” that add rich and musical overtones to the reverb. There much more depth and complexity to the sound.
.
I really want one of my own…but they don’t make this pedal anymore!! 🤣
